Bio:
I served in Namibia, at a small clinic in Mpungu Vlei in the Kavango Region from 2007-2009. I was a Health Volunteer who's main goal was HIV Education. During my 2 years I developed and ran an after school program for OVCs (orphans and vulnerable children), ran monthly HIV Awareness Events with a group of HIV+ people from the community, created a movie theater which helped to fund a feeding program for HIV+ people at the clinic, helped acquire funds for a sewing business, as well as smaller activities around the clinic itself. After completing my 2 years, myself and 2 friends backpacked from Namibia, up the eastern coast of Africa to Egypt, through Israel and then made out way across Europe to Ireland.
